J'ai eu la chance d'assister \u00e0 une conf\u00e9rence qu'elle a donn\u00e9e sur les refuges \u00e0 l'occasion du Cat Camp NYC 2019, ainsi qu'\u00e0 certains des webinaires qu'elle a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>En tant que gardienne de chats, je sugg\u00e8re souvent \u00e0 mes clients d'ajouter des puzzles, des mangeoires et d'autres formes d'enrichissement alimentaire. Je pense qu'ils contribuent \u00e0 r\u00e9duire l'ennui et le stress en l'absence de leur ma\u00eetre, et qu'ils peuvent aider \u00e0 ralentir les chats qui mangent trop vite et r\u00e9gurgitent de la nourriture imm\u00e9diatement apr\u00e8s avoir mang\u00e9, ou m\u00eame au milieu de leur repas. Cette \u00e9tude ne contredit pas cela.<\/p>\n<p>J'aime ces outils, mais ils ne conviennent pas \u00e0 tous les chats, notamment ceux qui ne sont pas motiv\u00e9s par la nourriture, qui n'ont pas beaucoup d'app\u00e9tit et si les puzzles sont trop difficiles pour eux. Les chats ont chacun leur propre talent, leur propre niveau d'habilet\u00e9 et la configuration qui leur convient le mieux.<\/p>\n<p>J'ai fait preuve d'humilit\u00e9 cet \u00e9t\u00e9 lorsque j'ai pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 ce que je consid\u00e8re comme un puzzle alimentaire relativement facile pour mon propre chat, Olaf, (<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/Nina Ottosson by Outward Hound Dog Brick Interactive Treat Puzzle Dog Toy, Intermediate https:\/\/a.co\/d\/7Xj3Oxz\">celui-ci<\/a><\/strong>(qui peut \u00e9galement convenir \u00e0 la plupart des chats, des lapins et des cochons d'Inde). Il comporte de gros morceaux qu'il suffit de soulever pour acc\u00e9der \u00e0 la nourriture. Vous pouvez aussi le renverser ou le cogner pour d\u00e9loger les morceaux. Pas de manipulation, pas besoin de r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir beaucoup pour atteindre la nourriture, facile \u00e0 nettoyer. Je n'ai jamais eu de probl\u00e8me avec un enfant... jusqu'\u00e0 ce que je le donne \u00e0 Olaf. J'\u00e9tais mortifi\u00e9e de rentrer \u00e0 la maison apr\u00e8s une longue journ\u00e9e de travail et de trouver un chat affam\u00e9 et un puzzle de nourriture plein et intact. Ahhhhhhhh. Au moins, il est joli et tout doux. Ma pauvre b\u00eate magnifique n'a pas eu le temps de r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir ce jour-l\u00e0. Ok, il n'est pas orange, mais il a quand m\u00eame besoin d'un tour avec parfois ! Pour ma d\u00e9fense, il y a dix ans, un jeune Olaf se serait jet\u00e9 dessus et aurait inhal\u00e9 la nourriture en quelques secondes. Mais Olaf a maintenant environ 16 ans, c'est un super senior, et il n'a pas la volont\u00e9 et l'urgence d'un jeune chat pour la nourriture.<\/p>\n<p>Avant de d\u00e9penser imm\u00e9diatement de l'argent pour un nouveau puzzle alimentaire ou une mangeoire lente, je sugg\u00e8re souvent d'essayer d'abord des options diy peu co\u00fbteuses pour t\u00e2ter le terrain. Un moule \u00e0 muffins, \u00e0 l'envers ou \u00e0 l'endroit, peut tr\u00e8s bien faire office de mangeoire lente. Certaines personnes placent une balle de golf dans le plat de nourriture s\u00e8che de leur chat pour le ralentir. Au lieu d'une seule gamelle, vous pouvez placer plusieurs petites portions de nourriture \u00e0 diff\u00e9rents endroits, de sorte que le chat doive marcher d'une gamelle \u00e0 l'autre, afin de l'encourager \u00e0 manger plus lentement et de le faire bouger.<\/p>\n<p>Il existe \u00e9galement des tapis \u00e0 l\u00e9cher, que j'aime beaucoup pour la plupart des chats.
