Les nouveaux clients ont un entretien d'inscription approfondi avec moi pour passer en revue toutes les informations les concernant. Cette r\u00e9union dure g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement une heure. Nous passons en revue les habitudes de l'animal, l'emplacement des fournitures et des zones r\u00e9serv\u00e9es aux animaux, les personnes \u00e0 contacter en cas d'urgence et, si n\u00e9cessaire, le client montre les techniques qu'il pr\u00e9f\u00e8re pour l'administration des m\u00e9dicaments, la pr\u00e9paration de la nourriture, etc.<\/p>\n<p>2. Nous passons en revue le plan m\u00e9dical d'urgence, y compris les informations sur le v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire. Je recueille \u00e9galement les coordonn\u00e9es des personnes \u00e0 contacter en cas d'urgence pour les animaux et la maison. J'encourage les clients \u00e0 laisser les caisses pour chats \u00e0 l'ext\u00e9rieur ou \u00e0 me les rendre accessibles (PAS dans le casier de rangement au sous-sol).<\/p>\n<p>3. Je suis cautionn\u00e9e et assur\u00e9e par l'assurance des gardiens d'animaux. Il s'agit d'une assurance responsabilit\u00e9 civile professionnelle.<\/p>\n<p>4. De nombreuses plantes d'int\u00e9rieur courantes sont toxiques pour les chats. Tulipes, lys, poinsettias, etc. Parfois, m\u00eame le pollen de certaines plantes est toxique, m\u00eame si le chat ne les m\u00e2che pas. Je maintiens une formation en premiers soins et en r\u00e9animation cardio-pulmonaire pour animaux de compagnie. En g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, ces certificats sont valables deux ans, mais je pr\u00e9f\u00e8re rafra\u00eechir ma formation chaque ann\u00e9e. Je suis \u00e9galement un Certified Professional Pet Sitter (CPPS) par le biais de deux associations professionnelles majeures, Pet Sitters International et National Association of Professional Pet Sitters, et je suis un Fear Free Certified Professional (FFCP). J'aime la formation continue et j'aime assister \u00e0 des webinaires et \u00e0 des conf\u00e9rences chaque fois que c'est possible.<\/p>\n<p>6. J'ai une voiture et je me rends principalement \u00e0 toutes mes visites. Cela signifie \u00e9galement que je suis en mesure de transporter rapidement les animaux de compagnie pour des soins m\u00e9dicaux urgents.<\/p>\n<p>7. Dans le cadre de la proc\u00e9dure d'enregistrement, je demande si les chats sont munis d'une puce \u00e9lectronique. La micropuce, m\u00eame pour les chats d'int\u00e9rieur, est un excellent moyen de les aider \u00e0 rentrer chez eux s'ils se perdent. Les colliers des chats sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement con\u00e7us pour se d\u00e9tacher facilement, afin d'\u00e9viter les blessures et l'enchev\u00eatrement, ce qui fait de la micropuce un moyen plus fiable de retrouver et d'identifier un chat qui s'est \u00e9gar\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Un probl\u00e8me fr\u00e9quent que je rencontre chez les propri\u00e9taires de chats est qu'ils n\u00e9gligent de mettre \u00e0 jour leurs coordonn\u00e9es aupr\u00e8s de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de microprocesseurs apr\u00e8s avoir d\u00e9m\u00e9nag\u00e9. Leur num\u00e9ro de t\u00e9l\u00e9phone, leur adresse et leur adresse \u00e9lectronique peuvent changer, ce qui doit \u00eatre mis \u00e0 jour dans leur dossier. C'est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement gratuit et facile \u00e0 faire, et c'est extr\u00eamement important.<\/p>\n<p>Je demande \u00e9galement si le chat a un permis.
