Je suis maintenant form\u00e9e aux premiers secours et \u00e0 la r\u00e9animation cardio-pulmonaire pour animaux de compagnie. Le certificat est valable 2 ans.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e9anmoins, je me suis \u00e9galement inscrite pour prendre <a href=\"https:\/\/www.petsafetycrusader.com\/about\/denise-fleck\/\">Denise Fleck<\/a>Le cours Pet First Aid, CPR &amp; CPCR de l'Institut de recherche sur les animaux de compagnie \u00e0 l'Institut de recherche sur les animaux de compagnie de l'Universit\u00e9 d'Ottawa. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.petsit.com\/conference\">Conf\u00e9rence et exposition mondiale des gardiens d'animaux de compagnie<\/a> J'y participerai en septembre. Ce sera une bonne remise \u00e0 niveau (comme elle le dit, c'est en pratiquant qu'on devient parfait), avec des mod\u00e8les pratiques.<\/p>\n<p>Il y a quelques ann\u00e9es, j'ai suivi un cours de deux jours sur les premiers secours et la r\u00e9animation cardio-pulmonaire, et franchement, malgr\u00e9 l'intensit\u00e9 du cours, je ne me souviens que de tr\u00e8s peu de choses, si ce n'est d'avoir appris \u00e0 crier : \"quelqu'un appelle le 911 ! Vous, allez chercher le d\u00e9fibrillateur !\" et \u00e0 faire des compressions thoraciques rapides sur un mannequin, ce qui m'a fait transpirer et m'a \u00e9puis\u00e9 au bout de 30 secondes. Cette exp\u00e9rience m'a appris qu'il est important de maintenir ces connaissances et ces comp\u00e9tences \u00e0 jour, et aussi de reprendre des cours comme ceux-ci de temps en temps, car les tendances et les techniques sont mises \u00e0 jour et am\u00e9lior\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>La r\u00e9animation cardio-pulmonaire et les premiers secours pour animaux de compagnie ne remplacent pas les soins v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaires. Toutefois, comme le souligne Cara Armour, fondatrice de la Pet Health Academy, vous ne pouvez pas appeler le 911 pour une urgence concernant un animal de compagnie et demander \u00e0 des ambulanciers de se rendre \u00e0 votre porte.
